Autism Specialists provides speech and language therapy and occupational therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities (e.g., intellectual disabilities). We also have extensive experience in working with individuals who have a co-existing mental illness (e.g., depression, bipolar, anxiety, personality disorders). We work with individuals of all ages from infancy to adulthood.
If you or your child have not received an official diagnosis, you can still receive services at our clinic.
Our clinicians provide treatment in the clinic, home, day habilitation site, and/or community. Whenever possible we aim to teach and practice the targeted skills in a natural setting, which research has shown aids in generalization. Consequently, we routinely schedule small group get togethers in the community (e.g., going to the fair, restaurants, etc.) where we practice the skills we have been working on.
